What is the JJDA Dance Company?
The JJDA Dance Company is a group of talented performers who are dedicated to the art of dance.  Company
members perform in the most challenging area dance competitions where they routinely place in the Top 10
scoring numbers.  These dancers continually strive to be the best they can be and work hard to achieve their
goals in dance.

What Classes Are Required for Company Members?
The JJDA dance program is based on the philosophy that proper training and technique is the most important
part of a dance education.  Therefore, our classes consist entirely of exercises designed to help dancers learn and
perfect their technical skills.  In these technique classes, the dancers do not learn performance routines.  Instead,
company members attend separate rehearsal classes where they learn and polish choreography for competitions
and shows.

Pre-Company and Mini Company performers study Ballet Technique, Tap, and Jazz.  These classes allow young
dancers to have fun while mastering the fundamentals of dance.

The Petite, Junior and Senior Company program has been carefully designed to help students reach their full
potential as dancers.  This program consists of Ballet Technique, Jazz/Lyrical Technique, Stretch and
Conditioning for Dance.  Dancers learn their competition routines in a separate rehearsal class.

Tap and Hip Hop Companies
JJDA offers two separate dance companies for performers who excel in Tap or Hip Hop.  Dancers may choose to
participate in these companies in addition to the general JJDA Dance company or they can specialize in Tap, Hip
Hop or both.
